Of Heaven or of Hell?

Ah! The great socialist dream
To control the whole world
The myth, make it for the “PEEPUL”
Food for the unknowing squirrel

Oh foolish man who cannot see
The inherent dangers within
Where knowledge and freedom
Are the greatest of the sins

The terror used to control
Everything you say and do
Underneath the false guise
They are doing it for you

Oh foolish, foolish people
Who bow at the altar of mediocrity
Whose brains have become ossified
By thinking only of inequity

Would you sell your soul to slavery
Of mind and body for the hope
That one who lusts for power
Will not bind you to the yoke?

Oh fool who fails to understand
That the basic tenant is wrong
But the icy grip of inadequacy
Enthralls you with ropes so strong

Yet your foolish brain is unable
To grasp the meaning it engenders
And the dreams that it entails
Blow away on the wind as cinders

Yet “from those with ability
To those with none”, the cry
That leads intelligence into folly
And makes others question why

No Ism or Ist has ever

No Ism or Ist has ever served.... only *Love* serves.... and that is always in short supply because there's always some who think others don't deserve it. Great thinking wo/man's poem, Rett. And it goes straight to the heart. ~A

Thank you Anna

It was meant to encompass the sexes. Love is the way oversimplifies it, but it certainly would be the best option. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Thank Southpark

"George Bush" on Southpark said it first in the 9-11 conspiracy episode. Cartman blames 9-11 on Stan.... *rolls eyes* yes, I consider this a high form of entertainment... ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "Everyone needs believe in something. Rett,

to quote P.T. Barnum, "there's a sucker born every day" I have to agree, like sheep to the slaughter. People refuse to pay attention. It's like do what you want and tell me later, morons later is to late. let me stop before I go off on a rant. thanks, Eddie "if I miss the bus while drunk, is that an accident"

No one wants the

No one wants the responsibility.... That's the bottom line... because if one did... one would have to think through the course of one's actions.. ~A

Anna, no truer words were ever spoke

We have become a society where the media tells us what to think, who to blame, what to do, who to vote for, what to drink and soon to be, when to wipe our butts. No one wants to think anymore or to take personal responsibility for their actions. Blame someone else. Let the government do it. The news says this is the one to vote for, okay. blah blah blah. It is too much trouble to research something important unless it is what car to buy, who has the best TV etc. You couldn't have been more on the mark if you were a sharpshooter. As you may or may not know,

As you may or may not know, I am a peace activist... This is group that I belong to. Naomi Wolf is brilliant. Check her videos out on Iraq etc. From: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WithKnowledgeComesResponsibility/ Nobody likes to listen to this kind of stuff, but it's time to take our collective heads out of the warm, comfy places we keep them and become aware of what's happening in our country, what we've allowed to happen. Listen and please share. The time is now to become the change we wish to see, not only for our country but for the world. It has never been more evident that everything is connected. Our choices are responsible for the world we're leaving our children and grandchildren. I never would have guessed Anna

*LOL* Nobody loves peace more than I do. I just don't want peace at all costs. I am a peace with honor type person, but there are a lot of good peace activists out there and just like everyone there is good and bad. I will read and see what all is said because I usually research stuff as well as I can before making a decision. Those who make uninformed decisions are fooling themselves and others. Thank you very much. Right now we already agree that the American people need to get the their respective heads out of their respective warm places or end up in major trouble. Thank you for the info. Nice flow here -

Nice structure. You're right about NEVER holding back when injustices are found. But aren't we all to blame for most that ails us? When I point my finger away, I have four pointing my way. None of us walk on water. But as far as the mechanics here go - great flow, and this one has some meter and measure within. Keep fiting the good fite. VARGO

Yes, each and every one of us is to blame. We have become a bunch of airheads who do not become informed because we are too lazy. We the people have become we the people don't know. Thanks for reading and commenting. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Ah yes, so much injustice that sometimes it is overwhelming. I guess I will go the way of the dinosaurs in time. One day, at this rate we will be called the late, great United States who once believed in freedom until we got too lazy to pursue it. *sigh* Thank you sir, I do appreciate it.
