The Words

The Words

Standing in the store today
I spied a young lass walking my way
The Tee-Shirt she was a-wearing
Left me helplessly a-staring

The words printed there on it
Were profound and filled with wit
I'm sure I've read them someplace
But just where I cannot trace

Most astute it was in meaning
Though the letters were a-leaning
From curves that were quite pronounced
As was the message they announced

I pondered long and never strayed
From the words proudly displayed
Three very simple words and yet
A wealth of meaning..."Slippery When Wet!"

All in one...

Simple story, Rhyme scheme, and rhythm fused into a sixteen line poem. I like the use of words and the final message it carries. This can only be done by one who has attained a level of mastership. Rett, you are the man. Cheers! T.

On the signature line, your poem gave me the idea. *LOL* Hey, I may be on a diet, but the menu looked pretty good. *chuckle* Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Oooo

Mr. Sneaky takin' a peeky! Thank heavens she was hot, though.... That's much better than a 400 pound thunder thighs with HOT STUFF or something equally dumb printed on her shirt! LMAO! ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "Everyone needs believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer!" - "Constipated people don't give a shit..."

Down here those paint it on the butt of

their pants or shorts. Black lady at the store a while back. 300 pounds or more in short shorts and a crop top with several big rolls hanging down. "Bootylicious" across the butt of her shorts. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Yep, you kind of had to be there. Silicon pumped to about a 40 double D straining to get out of the super tight tee shirt. *LOL* "Slippery When Wet" in large letters across her chest. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Oh yeah, those are hillarious.

I have to admit, my wife has wore a few over the years. My favorite of hers was about 10 years ago. She had one that said. "I have PMS and a 45. Any Questions?" Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Aw c'mon boys...

I just ate. "Bootylicious"??? We have those here, as well. They all have the strut, too. Really puts you off on your food sometimes - or gives you uncontrollable giggles. 40DD in a super tight top struttin' around Wally world... *shakes head* and some women wonder why they're raped... Or they get offended when they see someone staring. Oh c'mon, you know you love it - who else in their right mind would prance about like that? *puts away soapbox and hands the boys a napkin* Men..... ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "Everyone needs believe in something. *LOL* Linda

When a woman is in her mid 20's or later, I don't care how good a shape a lady is in, there is a certain amount of , shall we say gravity effect, especially when that big and no bra. When they stick out like that with no (ahem) gravity effect then it is pretty obvious it is silicon. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

I am slowly recovering

my sight Ian. When they bugged out it put a very unhealthy strain on my heart ( I did say heart didn't I?) Anyway, the swelling in my eyes is going down and now that I have removed my wife's fists from them I should be able to see soon. *chuckle* Thanks my friend. I always like to mix in a bit of humor to offset the seriousness of the world. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. Glad it gave you a chuckle. Respectfully, Rett: "We can all be thankful that Picasso wasn't a plastic surgeon." Rett

Definitely cracked a smile

Rett. It is amazing what you can read on T-shirts these days, the best though is when you go to a non-English speaking country and explain to someone just what that English slogan on their chest or back actually means lol...reactions are distinctly varied! Keith

Hi Rett...

let me chime in here at the locker room...lol... I've seen the same thing... makes my day! and hopefully, I'll always look.. at least while it's still interesting to me... the ladies... my wife catches me looking and I've seen her looking, nothing wrong in looking... it is the partaking that is the end all...or can be anyway... in my mind it is healthy to look around and notice the beauty of life and its participants... of course, that's just me... enjoyed your poem and the comments on it...
