EVIL RESIDES IN YOU

EVIL RESIDES IN YOU

Evil resides
in the corner
of that charnel-house
you call your
heart.

Wickedness must die
and your seed must wither;
her blame, your guilt.

Strange indeed
how love so
particular in other ways,
will accommodate there,
perhaps even fall asleep-
to be woken with
vicious , drunken words
making despair.

For in the very kernal
of that kindly love is
embedded the
perpetuity
of evil.

Ellie Lacrosse.

evil

good to read, yet it leaves a taste of something within someone. Which is the point of this piece. I am a great believer in that, to look in the mirror of your soul you will see the real you, and not the one hanging on the wall, as that is shrouded by others views. I fear what others see, only when I see the same, Yours, Ian.T

not me...

Hi Ian, This piece is based on a real person it was my misfortune to know...he is a damaged soul...and is now a pathetic drunk. A walking dead man who is nasty, disparaging and cruel. I believe his sinful deeds have come back to haunt him...and he is deeply unhappy...I wrote this when I remembered how he'd hurt me badly in the past. It's a cathartic piece. Regards, Ellie

Evil

is in all of us, but most have learned to quell it, sometimes spirits have a tendency to bring it out of some. Very well written, a wonder subject, causes one to look at ones own evil side, as a reminder to keep it Quelled. Enjoyed this immensely! thanks, Eddie "do as the once barren tree: flourish, and like the planted seed: rise" Jose de Diego

I too, Ellie have felt this way about someone. I could never forgive him, so I gave it to God to handle. I am now at a point in time that I simply laugh You did a great job here in writing about the pain you felt! "There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you."
