The Four Seasons

Two butterflies
frolic in the garden
of love,

The summer
intensifies into
sweet induced
passion,

Fall colors bring
beauty beyond
anything you've
ever seen.

Winter drives you
to seek the warmth
in your very soul's

The knot is tied in
the metamorphosis
of Spring.

The steaming
passion of summer
just grows and grows

A cocoon appears
with the on set of
Fall.

Winter moons come
and go, as you wait
for the beautiful new
butterfly

Spring is here!
Spring is here!
a new life appears.

Courtship, marriage
and birth, in pass times
was measured by the
Seasons.

It is the measurement
of all life that exist,
"The Four Season".

actually

In all seriousness, we have all 4 here. Winter is quite short, but that's fine with me. It's cold (about 40's) January and February, and then by March it's in the 60's again. It doesn't really get overwhelmingly hot until May. It's still in the 70's and 80's now. It'll cut back into the 60's around late October, and then start getting cold. LOL @ your truck comment... And yes, even NY has them. My two cousins Foster and Ronnie both wore shitkickers (cowboy boots) every day in school; Foster always had on his hat, too. My father is a NY native, and he says that he'll be buried with two things: his moustache and his boots. :~) ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "If you've ever emptied the back of your pickup truck by driving backward really fast and slamming on the brakes, you might be a redneck" - Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall: "that's how we moved"

Four Seasons

Hello my friend This is exquisite. Maybe you can look a my poem called - Blue Butterfly. It is about the journey of the butterfly but that butterfly is me, and my favourite colour is blue. I see Purplemoondoll has answered to this poem I have dedicated a poem to her called Earthbound spirit. Also maybe you can look at Graveyard Picnic which was interrupted by a butterfly Thank you for sharing my friend. Maggie Electricblue maggie electricblue

Enjoyed your poem. I enjoy the distinct changes of the seasons up north, too.

Down here on the Texas coast for as long as I have been here we have always had 3 seasons. January, February and Hot, and I do mean hot! From about April through the first part of October we stay in the 90's with humidity ranging from about 30% to 95%. July and August temps rare in the high 90's to the 103's. Your poem was nice. Sometimes I wish for 4 seasons and then my sanity returns and I realize that I HATE cold weather. *LOL* Totally enjoyed this. Well done. BTW, I have unloaded my truck the way Jess has said, but I never claimed NOT to be a redneck. *LOL* Respectfully, Rett: "If a fool and his money are soon parted, what does that say about the government bailout?"
