Fighting With Windmills

He's fighting with windmills once again
The winds are churning, old battles returning

He had fought them all, one by one and
Thought them gone, thought he had won

New storms on the horizon gather and grow
A lonely battle, a difficult foe

Heart, mind and soul must all band together
If just one fails, the others will follow

A silent call to arms, the struggle begins
Fighting  windmills all over again

"returning" is what I originally had on paper, and changed it when I submitted,as unsure. I do like it better. Thank you for your help

"If just one fails, the others will follow" - reminds me of a similar line in a Pink Floyd song: "together we stand, divided we fall." Excellent write. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "If you've ever emptied the back of your pickup truck by driving backward really fast and slamming on the brakes, you might be a redneck" - Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall: "that's how we moved"

poem, Windmills...

Linda, The Don Q story is an excellent one. Any effort to translate, capsulate, or augment, shows an interest in study of human psyche. This I apreciate as much as any attempt to desribe even the colors of the sky. Thank you. wcw

HI, Patty

I was writing about a friend who is having trouble with alcohol again. Personal demons, I guess.
