the freedom fighter

alas! like this call of the muezzin,

from stony sleep that night petrifies me

but very soon this big skies basin

will be blazing by the sun,so let me wake

fom the minaret where the echo calls

my sleep should be disturbed in her sake,

whose warm hands rocked my cradle

my homeland, for her by the dawn of the day

i should neve tire at her call, but saddle

upon the journey to that mosque, come what may

Emeka

I very rarly say anything about construction but will break my rule, this once I liked your poem and it even reflected a Mothers love somehow, but the last few lines seemed hurried and unspaced, I do hope you wont mind, but others may not agree, we will see. Something like this, for the last few lines without changing a word ????????????? I should never tire at her call, But saddle upon the journey, To that Mosque, Come what may. Yours Ian.T (Yenti)
