WHENCE COMES MY LIFE?
WHENCE COMES MY LIFE? Our forebears passed down to usA belief, and with it, ways of life,That there is God, Creator of allThere is, that is not, and will be,In whatever name you may give Concentrate and contemplateJust think and wait for answersLest you distort the truth Many accept, and not in doubt at all,This seeming foolishness in wisdomTo acknowledge their own existenceAnd a relationship of some kindBetween them and their source On the spiritual link, just thinkDo not query, sit and meditateLest you distort the truth Except for the doubting ThomasesWho see themselves as separateFrom that which, I think, created themAnd I ask, seriously, from whence comesThis thrumming pulsating essence? That is my life and yoursDo not answer, just thinkLest you distort the truth
