RESIGNATION

I walk along and feel the
chilly wind upon my skin,
that reminds me just
what life can bring.

The blood that surges
to my brain, makes me
feel the life within.

I feel the sun upon my
skin, giving the new life
that I need.

I know now how good my
life can be, because the loss
of work, not long ago, has
disappeared and brought
me glee.

I guess I really had to flee,
because that work was not
for me.

Eddie it's going in a good direction

needs some tweaking here and there. life within the loss of work not long ago Other than that, Eddie, maybe straighten out the line spacing by deleting all the text and typing it into the empty body box from scratch. (save it to your computer or somewhere first. It is almost a cute poem about a lifetime change. Quite different and I like it. Mark

change

Mark, It is about a life change. I've been working on it, I have a few version that I'm not happy with. So i decide to submit, I know what's in my head, but my finger seem not to want to work it, thank you so much, back to the drawing board. Eddie if a man does not know love, he does not know God

Eddie

change is not always easy, but it is not always bad. I agree with Mark about the spacing of your lines, but the content of your work is good.

Ahhhh!

Edit is much better. This piece reminded me of a work I'd written last month entitled "Dwarf Prayers" - not sure why... maybe it's the humbleness (is that a word? lol) behind it. Excellent stuff here, my friend. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "I just read an article on the dangers of drinking.... Scared the crap out of me. So that's it! After today, no more reading!" - Lex M.

It is a word

Jessica, when we humble our-self we begin to know our self, and that's what life is about acceptance of the things we can't control. thank you for your comment. Eddie if a man does not know love, he does not know God

Eddie...

the content of this write is easy to relate to... at least for me.. I've lost jobs I thought would devastate me and mine, only for it to turn out for the good. I agree with Mark's suggestions.. maybe you could elaborate on how the work was not for you... Richard

devastation

Richard, that's it, sometime the loss of a thing we thought we could not do without, turns out that we are better off without it. thank you, Eddie if a man does not know love, he does not know God

Just about where you want it for now Eddie

It's your English skill right now and there is no other way to help except show you :) The blood that surges to my brain, makes me feel the life within. (within is one word) I know now how good my life can be, because the loss (not lost) of work, not long ago, has (notice the commas) disappeared and brought me glee. I don't usually do this Eddie but there is really no other way to show you. Hope to come back soon, Mark

English

Mark, I'm sorry if I upset you with my English, but I do appreciate your help. I never said I was an English major. I'm just a student of life. Thanks again for all your help. Eddie if a man does not know love, he does not know God
