Sillohettes

Mountains
reflect in the water.
It is still, as a
mirror image.
Of black and blue
silhouettes lie motionless
So calm so still.

Roads roll on
forever racing
towards the horizon.
Trees and mountains
rise to reach the sky.

Water flows slowly
constantly.
Sunlight dances
on the water.

Night falls,
temperature drops.
Cold moon rises up
from behind the
mountains,
So slowly.

So many stars
are out in the night sky.
I stare at the water below
ripples appear.
Something stirs
just underneath.

Will it surface?
What magic
lies beneath,
and above.

Shapes shifting,
reflections,
ever changing.

It seems like...

...this has become a lost treasure with just one comment! I love this poem, I like it's lack of structure, it's rawness. The best part...we get to decide what it is underneath! I get the image of the water being motionless, hence the mirror image reflection, then it slowly moves, then faster, hence the fading sunlight dancing on (fast) water, and the reasons the water is speeding up...whatever is underneath in the depths is moving and commanding the motion of the current. I feel the coldness in this piece. Thank you for sharing...I would put the 'fast' back into your poem...otherwise as you have said before, it loses what it meant to you. regards, HS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "With all that I am and all that I could be, I walk this earth and yet nobody sees me".
