HARVEST MOON

Yellow harvest moon, hanging low
In the sleeping midnight sky
Round and glowing, as if pregnant

As is the earth below, with her
Harvest ready to come forth
Leaves of yellow-gold and red

Wander from the  trees above and
Paint the ground below
Fall is here, and winter is near
And we say farewell to Summer

This is beautiful

Smiles:) Barbara i saw an hunter full moon a few weeks ago, it was huge and beautiful first i ever saw tried to take a pic ,but it slip behind the trees before I could take it. enjoyed your poem.

poem i like your work , just say pregnant round and glowing(personification) , i think i've made this mistake like wot u have done a great many times, i must try not to do this mistake again my regards to you-pink
