He travels the worldly highway
looking for happiness
through fashion, trends, and fads
of crafty advertisement.

He chases fleshly desires
in pursuit of pleasure amid the
nightlife of girls, friends, and booze
for hype of image and fame

Trouble along the way makes
aware of witless dreams
when he follows a false light
into a world misled

Casting aside values' along the way
into a world of darkness.

someone going after all the bling in life, and not really seeing themselves and anything of any worth in what they do. Then you talk of a caged bird and wanting all the things outside the bars. Is it a dream or reality sending a message to a wild thing ????

Is not my intent

Smiles:) Barbara this is about my young teen son, i think all young people go through stuff that make them what they become. with experience learn hopefully they become a better person. I think you are good person because i can see that you are and have a good heart because i don't focus on anybody imperfection. i have plenty of my own. me as a mother try to prevent them from making wrong choices i already know the outcome is to be. we all must make our own way in life. i can't change that in him or any of the others of my kids. thanks for commenting. it is always appreciate.

Hi. R M

Smiles:) Barbara I'm kinda quiet and like my solitude though I like being around people mostly observing sometimes interacting in my own peaceful world. Most find me strange some like me some find me intolerable. Then we all have our little ways about us

The grass is always...

... greener on the other side, but remember that someone still has to mow it. Also have heard it said, "if the grass is greener on the other side, it just means that's where the septic is." - Ok, I'll shut up now. LOL. Sorry, it was the first thing I thought of after reading your work. Nice job. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "I just read an article on the dangers of drinking.... Scared the crap out of me. So that's it! After today, no more reading!" - Lex M.
