Not Quite Strangers

Not Quite Strangers

There you are on my screen again,

Got the time for our

Rendezvous at ten?

I’ve cleared a slot and booked you in,

My life’s on hold,

Let this febrile romance begin!

Electronic connections poor tonight,

You’re out in the ether,

But the image, taken flight.

Come here, dear friend

And let me tarry

With my belief in you suspended.

What’s that you say?

You ache for me?

Why, you only want me, your way!

Hello old friend- a month I know,

Not quite strangers,

Lovers, unrevealed,won't quite show…

grammar

Just a note of grammar!...past tense...but just didn't want to use the obvious took...thanks for taking the time to look it up...you're a doll! You give a lot of your time to commentary & your work is of such a high standard, thanks JC. Ells x
