I-Minded Love
I-Minded Love
I designated myself a Higher Power,
And wandered in search of a distant shore,
I am a bit like a silver fox, I have learned
Myself, these hidden recesses and coves where
Only the wild wind blows freely,
Starlight reflects the nearness of the creature I
Inhabit in the night as kelp and the brine of sea
Turn my skin a paper white, green edged
And I skim the surfaces in the narration of water.
I have built a barge
Now I quite merrily coast along
The River Stix,
I know where the rocks are and how to scrape
The moss from the North side, I am medicinal
By nature and organic by implementation I shine in the
Secretions of my virginal self.
I admire the colour red,
And so I wear well my cloak of invisibility that none
May see the real me, though the thought remains the same,
It seems the key to pleasure is the personification of those who
Would love
When and if we question why tears flow in aloneness, why joy
Is Silence and can never be shared, never held.
For this I made a pact with
The Trickster, in spite of myself, and because this day allowed me
To play in these Elysian Fields,
Mind-numbing.
I designated myself a Higher Power,
And wandered in search of a distant shore,
I am a bit like a silver fox, I have learned
Myself, these hidden recesses and coves where
Only the wild wind blows freely,
Starlight reflects the nearness of the creature I
Inhabit in the night as kelp and the brine of sea
Turn my skin a paper white, green edged
And I skim the surfaces in the narration of water.

Now I quite merrily coast along
The River Stix,
I know where the rocks are and how to scrape
The moss from the North side, I am medicinal
By nature and organic by implementation I shine in the
