4 Poems of Reflection

1

Quo Vadis?

Love
wrest me from this moment
of indecision and doubt,
let me create
a sanctuary

where only You exist

2.

Step Away From The Center

Step away
from the center
and the separation begins,

a placid lake
a tossed stone,
a ripple forms

open

a clenched fist
a ravaged breast
a distant heart,

now

breathe through the opening….

3.

It Was Only A Fantasy

It was only a fantasy
love can never speak
in the Silence we seek,
we are lonely in the folds of flesh,
aching to be touched,
weeping
divisions of a solitary image
burning in our hearts

Anna

The poet reflects on love as a sanctuary and then steps away with a distant heart. Yes, 'love can never speak in the silence we seek'. When it reaches understanding, it melts like snowflake. Though the poet's remark states that these four pieces of poem were written at different times, he/she manages to to join them together. This is a good work. Best wishes. What do you call the form and the style? T

yes…. if we allow it….

yes.... if we allow it.... we loosen our grip on *reality* and enter love where anything can and does happen ;-) No cynics allowed! ~A

I'm quite surprised ...

that before my vote this garnered only a four. Both structure and subject chapters rich with feeling that roll so well together deserve, I think, mountaintop kudos. Thanx, Chuck PS: Although it's hard to settle on a preference here, I esp. like "Understanding is a perfect snowflake m e l t i n g"
