Summer's flown

Dark is the moon
So cool and damp
Fall is here

Summer's fled
in the night
was it an illusion
a lost memory

Just to dream
When summer
was a coming in

Soon Jack Frost
will arrive
chills down
the back bone
a sure sign
we greet

Until Summer is a
coming in

I like this

but I can't clearly state why. It reminds me of when I was young and noticed it got dark earlier - sort of eerie. I think, though, I would have like it better if you'd used your own words instead of taking that line from the round. Your own words were quite good.

Summer's flown

Arrow Well just day dreaming, remembering lazy days of summer. As for the last line, Yes, it is from the round. But it just popped into my head and seem to give this poem a finished or maybe anothr begining. As are the cycles of the seasons. Thanks for your comments my friend Electricblue
