Love and Pain

Love and Pain

My eyes burn like fire
as I hold back hot streaming tears;
breaking my resistance
to cry like a baby.

My heart bleeds in desperation
as toxic words ooze from your lips;
pummeling my inner peace
bringing me to my knees.

My love for you is no more
as apiece of me dying each day;
building walls ten feet tall
to keep my heart from harm.

As drips of hope fades away

Holy Macarel Barbara

This is just totally AWESOME in my opinion! Kneeling at the feet of a master. WOW! Such imagery and feeling absolutely blows me away in so short a poem! *reaching down to pick up my jaw that fell completely off and bounced across the floor* Respectfully, Rett: "The only thing observable with the naked eye to exceed the speed of light is rumor" Unknown

Have you been taking talent enhancing drugs?
