Monkey Lust

Ice capped mountains pale blue skies
A deep blue mirror
Natural spring waters

A mountain lake in some far off land where
Monks and monkeys live in peace well maybe
 they just reside
Harmony but, for two full days, out of each month

Says the Father of the monks
Those little buffoon's
Strung out by the moon's blue light
Eating those poppies and dancing down by the lake

My such a devilish sight, such horror says: father Timothy
All that parading and chanting, what of our praying
Oh, there definitely will be some tonight

But, father it only happens for two nights
Forty-eight hours of living hell I say
Holy terror, a living hell, a repeating vision

Guard and lock up every door
Bar up every window
Fire up the blessed mote and
  bring in every goat

Before those damn apes begin again
They will rape and deflower every flower by the hour
Everyone and everything that dare apraoch near'th  that lake
Within these hours, of forty-eight

No stone unturned, none flower not plucked or touched
Everything and every being fondled and used up
Such horror, such horror said; the young monk

A unnatural plan not designed by God or us few men
But, by her, Mother Nature?

Forty-eight hours, wow  what power for their lust
Nothing ever left alive, down there by that lake
Not on those two days,of ape on ape such horror

They gather around the old stellar scope
and see their murderous acts unfold
both of passion and frenzied killing

Some evil  thing there reside in that there lake, Father
I tell you he, is here and there but ,only on those two days

Something lives within that lake
but, for only two days of each month, of the year
That is why these here monkeys lust

Oh, Father

But, What?

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: U.S. A. Indiana, Valparaiso, USA

Favorite Poets: Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Carl Sandburg these I have read some And so Many More. I have no Favorite or any that I dislike. Whom I consider to be poets; of course there are many Dark and hateful souls, who would cry out and to I will lend an ear, but some. They just leave a awful taste in my heart that I can not bear to read twice. Let alone as many times I would do normally; as I must.

Now that is unusual

but I have to say I like it. Freakishly good write my friend. Respectfully, Rett: "If life is a bowl of cherries, why am I in the pits?" Erma Bombeck

oh man oh man I fucking adore this!

You wouldn't happen to have been inluenced by the "Monkey" legend from ancient China? Whatever, it is mythical, sublime, beautiful and scary. And am very glad to see you are paying more attention to spelling and punctuation. Wish I could vote more than 5. cheers, Jess p.s. whatever drugs you took, where's my share?
