FRUSTRATION

Hither and yon
Tick and tock
And go beyond
The ticking of the clock

So many days
throughout  the years
What can I say
The dues that I paid

The water is running
I've done my best
I've done my worst
At least I tried

The same song I keep humming
Not so perfect
But what does that mean
This not accepted, I suspect

But what the hell
What do you want
And only time will tell
Hither and yon

This and that
I went way beyond
Crossed my t's
And dotted my i's

Always said please
Couldn't say no
And this not enough
Apparently not

I can understand

frustration. Holy mackerel do I understand the frustration. You can dot every i and cross every t and still it won't be enough to please people and in most cases family. Well expressed. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby!" Rett 2008.

Linda

what if you added after the first and go beyond the ticking of the clock second stanza there were dues I paid I know it breaks your pattern but those words came to mind perhaps you would like to ad a fourth line to each stanza making it an afterthought I like what I have just read though so as always just a suggestion Chrys
