The Last Days

The Last Days

Numerous tests
neglect the obvious
affliction continues
not even considered

Dishearten spirit
weary soul
treacherous time
unyielding clutches

Hope is gone
in this world
deterioration
has no end

With few words ...

you've with sterling clarity captured the kicking/silent-screaming despair that lives within the hearts of caring, thinking people across the country ... which I for one appreciate. And that very much. Thanx, Chuck

With few words

Smiles:) Barbara I wrote this because after all those test most just duplicate of those done earlier show all is normal overlooking the obvious not tested for. Signs of the times we live in, a cold uncaring medical world i feel. Many suffer so I figure this poem speaks for them also, not necessarily all will agree. Thanks for reading and commenting and seeing the meaning so clearly.

Medical world

I know medical testing is scarey. I've been on both sides of those tests. I have seen some doctors and nurses that I am ashamed of their behavior. And then, I have seen more than one doctor cry over patients they have become attached to. Nurses hurt too, when they cannot offer more. And often go to bat for their patient to the extent that they could jeopardize their job, as they dare to disagree with a physicians orders.
