unaware

I am sorry I had to leave so quickly
But you see, Death caught me unaware

And took me into Heaven and
Now I shall live there

Do not grieve and weep
For my body has only fallen asleep

I would return if I could find the way
When I shall see you again, I cannot say

Someday God will call you too, home
And together we shall never again be alone

I go to prepare a place for you

Sleep to re-awaken, the poem hints at reincarnation, but on a conditional 'if' I could find a way. 'Together we shall never again be a lone' also suggests eternity. These two positions can only be attained when 'death' comes, UNAWARE. I like this poem. It has the potentials for more philosophical debates and questions. Where do we come from, why are we here, and where do we go from here. well done Linda
