Spaces

...And I wondered how much space
there is compacted into nothing

astrophysicists call it
a black hole
this vortex of emptiness

not quite humbly
still,
I consider myself a
metaphysician, a mystic,
so I easily see
10000 million Buddhas
dancing on the edge
of perpendicular time
as it slips
unannounced, reconciling
into a star-seed
ripe & gathering
cosmic dust
10000 million incarnations,
nebulae
seeking another skin,

romancing the stones
hidden in crumbling jungle temples
somewhere in Shangri-La
Shiva and Shakti
dance, gyrate
imminent and eminent
chance and circumstance
ignite embers into another flame
striking Damocles singing sword
light and dark spaces

holographic
visions
of my Socratic mind
waves and strings
interchange rearrange exchange
tie
earth to heaven
rock to cloud

and the sea
the sea,
about which
nothing
can be said.

Sage

Spaces compacted into nothing, black hole and vortex of emptiness. Apart from expressions like this which portray you as a master of the craft. I think your poem is very deep with meaning and from your philosophical disposition nothing else can be said. Very well written. Cheers

reminds me of a song...

Has nothing to do with black holes, and nebulas, but popped into my head for some reason: "What shall we use to fill the empty spaces where we used to talk? How should I fill the final places? How should I complete the wall?" - Pink Floyd ~Jess ---------------------------------------------------- "Just 'cause you have one, doesn't mean you need to be one....."

Hi Jess, reminds me of

Hi Jess, reminds me of something: my two year old son was singing "we don't need no education, we don't need no thought control". And my 3 year old daughter knew all the words to "Jesus Christ Superstar". Do you think I scarred them for life? Hugs, Anna

Wow. Jess. Anna feigning shock, cupping her hands over her ears, Lalalalalalalala. I've never said fucking in any poem.... roflmao. Thank you. I kinda like it myself. ;-) ~A p.s. There's a man from down under (walking his Aussie shepherd) I meet on my early morning walk/run, he always says "gud dai". ;-)

Laugh out loud, I am a city boy,

I only use the outback references to amuse Americans, Sydney is a metropolis. I tease you Americans with my Aussieisms. Kangaroos are seldom seen by Australians. cheers, Jess
