Words

It’s really fucking
hard for me to throw
away words,

I have tons of books and someday
I’ll reread that one or perhaps
remember I want to remember
a paragraph so perfect
I should have committed to memory.
often
when I’m in the throes of writing
a Poem, I grab a book,
a random page,
see what
jumps out at me

yeah, I’m really
stuck on words... I have
saved greeting cards from every
occasion, and if I started to be
selective now, where in heavens name
should I start? not the Mommy ones,
not the I love you wife ones (Liar!)
not the friendship, better days are here
cause I’m thinking of you, not the wish you
were here postcards with that unforgettable sunrise
and palm trees (of course, received in 10 degrees
below zero, with snow up my arse. I remember
I could almost smell the ocean, feel the warm
breeze & sun on my back) but I digress, and it’s
white outside, and I’m left with places I have
never gone.

No, I shall keep them all,

like I keep old emails and stories of gurus & lovely,
significant words, inspirations to the depth of me.

Yes, I’m a wordaholic,
I hoard words in every shape
& form,
typeset & style,
and I rue the day when I shall
run out...

nothing left to say
in my dying breath,
as if the word “I” never existed.

The epitomy of a word

The epitomy of a word junkie. You'd be hard-pressed to find many around here who don't do the same thing. (do you need the comma after "I love you wife" - looks like it should be after "ones") Best to you, Anna ~ Ronda

Well, my picture is right next to *pain the ass* in the dictionary of difficult people. ;-) Ask anyone who knows me, Onda. Ranna,

lol

"freezing with snow up my ass..." - lmao! The only thing that got me was the formatting... it started and ended ok, but the whole thing in the middle was very.....ummm...congested? However, it illustrates the going off on the tangent, so maybe it should stay like that. Just seemed like a lot going on in that space there. But what do I know? I'm the queen of run-on sentances! LOL! ~Jess ---------------------------------------------------- "Maybe in your vision, you've seen how omniscient is slightly less than divine. hehehe. the poem's pregners. ;-) thanks for reading Jess. Maybe we ought to start a 12-word program for drive-by run-on's, dangling participants and dyed-in-the-wool word-addicts. Baaa. ~A

Sure!

We'll meet in the basement of an old church. We need a mantra, though, something we can recite at the start of each meeting. LOL! With my ink, I shall not waste. Every sentence must have a period, comma, and space. No more will our words go on and on. Fractured meanings, tongue-in-grooves. It's a lengthy process, let's give it a go. Our writing will succeed, this I know. For the beatings will continue until morale improves..... LMFAO!!!!! :~D ~Jess ---------------------------------------------------- "Maybe in your vision, you've seen how omniscient is slightly less than divine. I love you kiddo. Your mom

I love you kiddo. Your mom done good. in every kind of mind lurks 101 atypical knee-jerks reactions to an action that is not some kind of fraction by a disenfranchised whole black and blue silent soul. ~Anna

That is the so sad Darya.

That is the so sad Darya. Love not expressed. Reminds me of the book/movie *The Bridges Of Madison County*. When Mom dies, the son and daughter find Mom had a life they never knew about. It crashes around them destroying their mundane lives and ultimately frees them to live *authentic* lives. Love. Anna
