Poetry of the sky

For a momentIn the garden this morningFlowers were combing my hairI faced sun to greet the poetry of the skyAnd my eyes turned to the color gold reflecting the jewels inside Poetry winked and quickly disappearedLike a blue sky that has been taken by a sudden stormBefore I knew it the moment was goneIt’s going to take me another thousands yearsTo have the poetry come to me like this

Beautiful

"And my eyes turned to the color gold reflecting the jewels inside" - very nice line. I really liked this one, Darya. I hope you're able to recapture the moment sooner than thousands of years from now. They are far and few between, though, I'll give ya that. Each one is cherished - and should be celebrated on a page, just like this one. ~Jess ---------------------------------------------------- "Just 'cause you have one, doesn't mean you need to be one....."

Oh I like this

That sudden moment that poets speak of, the Norwegian I enjoy, perhaps, most is Hans Borli, but he writes about the moment that he glimpsed the northern star though the wings of a crane in the twilight, he says that this moment is worth more than the thousand other memories in his life, or that's the gist of it. I think if you seize the moment and try to remember how you felt then it might come again and blossom into another poem. But I like this one and its strange atmosphere it makes one read and reread it. Yours Ann of Norway
