LIFESPAN
LIFESPAN Lifespan is like a day A cycle of elongated hours of events And dawn, the birth of a child Infant morning grows into middle age at noon.
And crises feature at climax to set the balance for harvest
Bliss of living and homestead repast are gifts
From the toil we had on the farmstead Such are the rewards for the future. Yet, mid-day could be dark night As wasteful youth brings misery Where stagnation degenerates into regrets To signal a wasted generation Till eventide stills the night. Sleep, like death toll unto day.— t. reflexion, Jul 31, 2008
