Moonrise to Moonset

Moonrise to Moonset

The new moon has much fun,
when it rise and set with the sun
after days have pass, the moon waxes
becoming a crescent moon well done.

The half moon has embedded,
while the gibbous moon waits ahead
now the full moon hangs among the clouds
rising just after sunrise above the seabed.

While the moonrises setting later and later each day,
the full moon goes back on display
then the full moon rises setting along with the sun
once again the moon wane begins to phase.

As it wanes, the moonrises at night after sunset,
and later and later each night, sets in daytime after sunrise’s advent.

Well captured Barbara

You did well on this! I like it. I don't think I have ever seen the phases captured all together in poetry. Rett: "This way to the Great Egress" P.T. Barnum
