The Phases of the Moon

The Phases of the Moon

Though the new moon has no glow,
the crescent moon I bestow
while the half moon hangs along
the gibbous moon guides me home.
When the full moon traverse sunset,
the lunar phases then beget
the Sun and Moon align with earth
and the new moon has rebirth.
When, the phases of the moon return to spoon,
through a more than half-lit gibbous moon
the half moon reappears
with crescent then new moon soon too cheer.
As it goes, the gibbous moon gets more light
than the crescent moon at midnight.

Though the new moon has no show,
the crescent moon I bestow
while the half moon hangs along
the gibbous moon has more glow.
When the full moon traverse sunset,
the lunar phases then beget
the Sun and Moon align with earth
the new moon then onset.
When, the phases of the moon return to spoon,
through a more than half-lit gibbous moon
now the half moon reappears
then crescent then new moon very soon.
As it goes, the gibbous moon gets more light
than the crescent moon at midnight.

My 16-year-old son wanted to hear it in aaba so I revised for him.
He likes it that way better. My 19-year old daughter likes it better in aabb.
Then he suggests putting both on the sight to see which one yall like.

I love the moon and all her

I love the moon and all her cycles. The Hunter's moon is my favorite. The Hunter's moon is the moon directly following the Harvest moon. The harvest moon is full moon nearest autumnal equinox. It rises for several nights at nearly the same time at points successively further north on the eastern horizon. I just thought you might enjoy this information. You have written a very good poem, which I enjoyed completely. Always, Cat

I just found more on the internet earlier this morning, about the moon rise and set, copied and pasted it to my word doc to write a poem about later. Read some on the hunter moon and other will come get it to. tend to forget what i copied first. didn't know there so many names for the moon. yes another poem for me. thanks for the info again. learning a lot here. working on sonnet by writing about the moon don't know if my western classic is any good yet hope to get better at it though. thanks Cat
