Beauty Within

Earth movers embrace

the landscape of

wretched stench

glass shards dig

deep into the

soul of man's vile

refracting beautiful colors

above methane pipes

The scavengers soar;

sustenance bound

exposing white tipped plumes

matching the puffs

of plastic clouds

birds pro-create

upon man's infinite

land of waste

as sun draws blood

from the horizon

You described

our dump perfectly. We call it Mount Garbage (that's gahr bahg') *L* Seagull out the wazoo. It is the highest point in this damn flatland of the coast. Well done Janice. Rett: Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.” Churchill: “If I were your husband I would take it.”

I must say...
