Driftwood

Haiku
Driftwood

It floats many miles
from the shorelines of Asia
with a lazy frog

Way to go Barbara!

Nicely done! Short and a very good read! Rett: Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.” Churchill: “If I were your husband I would take it.”

I love this poem. Sometimes

I love this poem. Sometimes people forget the best poetry can come from simple images, but this one's really earthy and vibrant. The lazy frog line really puts the image in your head more, like the white chickens in 'The Red Wheelbarrow'.I don't know if you personally wanna make a habit from writing these poems, but I think you could really develop this kind of thing.

Thanks James

Smiles:) Barbara I love poetry all kinds and I am glad you feel this way about this poem. I like this type of poetry also and I will be working on more like this. Sometimes it takes other people to help you see what talent you have, but unaware that you have them. Thanks for you fine comment
