PREACH IT BROTHER!

Praise and worship has begun
and The Holy Spirit's on the move

Satan's in the rafters waitin'
He's got a point to prove

The saints are singing glory, hallelujah!
All with upraised hands

Satan don't mind no shoutin' and singin'
It's the believin' he can't stand

The Preacher's eyes alight with truth
His preaching loud and bold

Waiving his Bible, and preachin' his message
He's lookin' to save some souls

"Can't get to Heaven
if you're livin' in sin

Someone from the back shouts
"Preach it brother, preach it again

Preacher's on a roll
He knows Satan's listenin

Satan's plan, to catch them asleep
dreaming of their sins

That'll be his chance
to then enter in

And snare some souls, he's on a roll
Pleased with himself He grins

And thinks to himself
More trophies for my shelf.

Sister behind me, speakin' in tongues
The brother up front, prostrate on the floor

Prayin' and tellin' his God
That he won't sin no more

Then Preacher thundered, "Satan in the
holy name of Jesus Christ

"Be gone!" "Don't you know for our sins
He's already paid the price

Then Satan fell from the rafters
And Preacher said with all his might

"You'll take no souls from this House
"You'll take no souls tonight

Absolutely soul stirring!

Awesome. That was fantastic. You captured it all absolutely! Well done. 5/5 for you! Rett: "At twenty, if you are not a Liberal, you have no heart. At Thirty, if you are not a Conservative, you have no brain." Winston Churchill

Brother

I scribbled this on scrap paper on the way home from Dallas the other day. My daughter was driving and traffic was heavy. Had no ativan, so I turned to poetry. You'd have to ride with my daughter to understand what fear is. Thank you for your encouraging comments.

LOL!

"You’d have to ride with my daughter to understand what fear is." - lmao! Ahhh.... the first point of conversion: fervent prayer to get you home safely. Linda, this poem kicked major butt. Very creative, and had a nice flow to it. 5 *s from me! ~Jess K. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The toilets at a local police station have been stolen.
