Oh, Lord Won't You Send Me A New-Fangled Thing?
Oh, Lord, wont't you send me a new-fangled thing?
I'm blowing up, I'm blowing up
I'm the pudgy kid chewing the purple gum in
Willy Wanka's chocolate factory,
it's all this energy
what do I do with it?
where do I channel it?
and when did it grow so big?
I can't contain mself
I'm stuck inside of me
puffing and huffing,
in a moment or two
I'll be blown away
by an ill wind...
I just know it.
or perhaps I'm a clever Puffer fish
and I'm too small
for this fish tank, eyes all around me
with nary a drop of Silence
to quench my thirst and set me free
I am a child's red balloon
filled
with the art of letting go.
I'm blowing up, I'm blowing up
I'm the pudgy kid chewing the purple gum in
Willy Wanka's chocolate factory,
it's all this energy
what do I do with it?
where do I channel it?
and when did it grow so big?
I can't contain mself
I'm stuck inside of me
puffing and huffing,
in a moment or two
I'll be blown away
by an ill wind...
I just know it.
or perhaps I'm a clever Puffer fish
and I'm too small
for this fish tank, eyes all around me
with nary a drop of Silence
to quench my thirst and set me free
I am a child's red balloon
filled
with the art of letting go.
