WHO ARE YOUR ENEMIES
WHO ARE YOUR ENEMIES
I do not know my enemies It may well be myself and only By those degrading personal attributes, The short coming inadequacies of self Like egoistic vengeful spirit Excessive urge for sex and lust for women Thunderous anger in lightening speed And over-valued self in boastful mockery Who are the wolves in sheep skin? Except those who come to steal and destroy They are agents of darkness and evil Their end is a distasteful story to tell Those who hate you are your enemiesFrom the first time they set their eyes on you
They declare war of cheating and rivalry To constitute enemies of progressive living There are those who cannot approach you Their selfish complex desires and greed Turn them, for no just reason, against youThey make you sick for being sick themselves
These household enemies of yore and now Our fathers’ brothers and sisters In witchcraft and sorceryThey think, I suppose, your failure is their success
There are enemies also in ignorance Their perceived reality is not actuality As their beliefs are buried in superstitionThey convene councils to judge their follies
For those who are jealous Of my success and steady growth I say this to them, take heart For there is nothing you can do My enemies are dead On each attainment that I make To evolve and to reconstruct This wonderful experience that is my life— t. reflexion, Jul 11, 2008
