The Language of Time

I thought that I had
Life's "bull, by the horns",
but, in the garden of Life,
I'm trapped in the thorns,
not to mention, my journey
has caused blisters, and corns,

I need to pay attention
to the language of Time.

Often, Time's big message,
is to , "hurry up, now!"
And, as I grimace and try
There's one more line across my brow,
I've yearned for the harvest
but, there's just too much to plow,

so, I pay attention
to the language of Time.

I think of my life's experience
my eyes can finally see,
I've processed the "data"
so, just let me be,
because, all that has happened
hasn't, just happened to me;

I need to listen more
to the language of Time.

So, laugh if you will
I'm just letting off "steam",
What I need's, an oasis
with a girl, and a stream;
but, that'd probably only happen
in a Midsummer Night's Dream;

I'll start listening
to the language of Time.

Consequently, I've got
quite a lot on my plate.
But, I'm doing my level best
to not leave things to "fate",
tread, softly 'cross my heart
and leave your shoes by the gate;

and please heed,
the language of Time.

Extremely well done. I love the theme and the execution! Bravo. Rett: "At twenty, if you are not a Liberal, you have no heart. At Thirty, if you are not a Conservative, you have no brain." Winston Churchill
