may I suggest that rather than using allows, use permits just a thought :-) short but very much to the point. Chrystalie

Well built and starts off nice

I tend to agree with Chrys. On the poetry I have a bit of trouble with the last 4 lines. In our lives it is a darkness a question an unknown but there is a presumption here that in reality it is as well - we don't know, really. Some say their truth and others say theirs and you are saying what I think most would. This poem is intriguing. Death is in man lol Mark

Actually I was thinking about the "darkness" part while writing it. Some people who have had a near death experience claim that they saw a bright light. I suppose one can never know until one gets there. Cheers ... Leonard

However I see that road

as not lonely at all, but the prelude to a new adventure! No, I don't think I am "going to heaven." I'm already there. However, I know that all life--the one we know, and the one that awaits us, is simply a process of change, and the transitional change that we on this side call "death" is only a death of the material body, a very small part of us. Synchro, Thanks for this . These are my thoughts too. Difficult to imagine how a life can be completely extinguished. Sri Aurobindo says that the process of evolution hasn't ended. It continues - in the conscious sphere; every rebirth is a purification leading ultimately to liberation - what the Buddhists call nirvana. So death is nothing but the closing of one door and the opening of another. Cheers ... Leonard

I can say from personal experience that what happened to me was everything got dark except for one spot, like looking down a paper towel tube. It was spooky as the voices around me started fading into the distance. They were there , but far away. Anyway, The poem was excellent. I thought you captured it extremely well.
