The Long Road Home

The scenery was divine and the atmosphere seren
as I drove along the long straight road towards home.
With the weather behaving, it  was a beautiful yet long
ride home. As I trave the long road hme and pass through
a handful of contrasting towns, I pass along the way a car
with red and blue lights behind a minivan.

As I ride there is silence in view of the fact the radio
does not work. So I sit contemplating life and how
wonderful it has turned out for me, as I drive the
long road home.

Dear Mark

Sorry about the spelling. I'm not the best speller in town. I was in grade school. I guess with age you lose some of that. My fingers type faster than I can read. I other thing is I have a very bad habit of not rereading my work. When I do the spelling it looks good to me. So sorry. I'll try to do better next time. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my poetry. Please feel free to comment on my other poems and prose. It will help me become a better poet. Thank you again. Your Friend, Pixee
