Wishing On a Beach

Wishing On a Beach

Wish I were on a beach,
where the sky meets the sea
kicking sand stuck between my toes.

Wish I were in the window,
of a beach house, along the shoreline
watching lightening strike waters of the turbulent sea.

Wish I were hearing the thunder roar,
the rains beating down the rooftop
and light flashing across the dark ocean.

Wish I were among clouds by the oceanfront,
on a blustery night, floating far away
from life daily wear and tear.

Beautiful

You make the beach sound so romantic. I live 5 miles from Surfside Beach and seldom go except in the evening to watch the play of lights on the water. Rett: They say that money talks. Sadly, my wallet has laryngitis!

Robert Downey Jr.

This is a song by him that kinda sounds sad though- ready? Artist: Robert Downey, Jr. Song: River Album: [B u y " " CD] It's coming on Christmas They're cutting down trees They're putting up reindeer And singing songs of joy and peace Oh, wish I had a river I could skate away on But it don't snow here It stays pretty green I'm going to making a lot of money Then I'm going to quit this crazy scene Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on Oh I wish I had a river so long Teach my feet to fly Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on I made my baby cry. She tried hard to help me She put me at ease loved me so naughty Made me weak in the knees I wish I had a river I could skate away on I'm so hard to handle I'm selfish and I'm sad Now I've gone and lost the best baby That I ever had Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on Oh I wish I had a river so long I would teach my feet to fly Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on I made my baby say goodbye It's coming on Christmas They're cutting down trees They're putting up reindeer And singing songs of joy and peace I wish I had a river I could skate away on There are times to cry and times to laugh...............
