O no...!!! Not THAT George. I guess he cleaned out the last of his stuff. Loved you all my life George... You always were a stand-up kind of man. Deep bows. Anna I am remiss. I hope everyone has someone to love them and miss & mourn for them. It's just some seem to speak in ways that speak to many hearts. p.s. may I post your *poem* to my groups?

I did not agree with Carlin on some of his views but Damn, even those were funny as hell. I'll miss him. I loved his humor and his irreverence! You are right, the world just became a lot less funny. George Carlin...

....once said, "I'd love to host the Tonight Show. But, by the time "they" got through with it, it would be on at 4:00 in the morning, be 13 minutes long, and there would be no audio!" His 7 words that you can't say on T.V., are now down to 5. When the list is down to zero, we'll all know it's the end of time. I'd say that I'll miss him, but he's been such a prominent force to me, he really IS still with me..........besides, it'd be all Bullshit!!! Later, George, Doc Maverick

I couldn't believe it when I was told about his passing yes the world will be a lot sadder followed him from his hippy dippy weather man on up I feel like those years are gone now they were the best of this ladies life for sure. beautiful tribute you have written Mom

Kailashana - Yes, THAT one, unfortunately. Thanks for the links. Rett - His knack for being outspoken was second to none. Thanks for reading and commenting. Mark - I have all 4 of his books, and they are read quite frequently. Have been a huge fan ever since I knew who he was. Doc-M - I agree, and actually remember that quote, too! He stuck it in one of his routines. Mom - He was absolutely hysterical, I agree. I'm not joking when I say that he's my hero. enjoyed some of Carlin's earlier work, but I could TELL, I swear, that he was strung out before the media shoved it in everyone's faces. then he got a little ridiculous. a funny man when he wanted to be. i hope his soul is commended with john belushi and the rest! wonderful poem
