Nonet - self-finding

His face trapped in the ocean’s mirror
trembles rapidly; heart is stoned,
in the bottom filled with sand!
Behind, the uttered trees
extend their branches,
like the terror
in the souls
he died
for...

Excellent, Marius!

The Nonet is one of my favorite styles of poetry. It sounded impossible to me the first time someone suggested I write one, but they become addictive! Perfect form and a message within the lines. Nicely written! Best, Ronda

Ronda, my kind regards for your beautiful words - I am honoured. I am glad that you like the structured forms too. I will search for your nonet poem as well. Sincerely, Marius

Rather than pass by

Hi Marius Unlike my collegues, i was somewhat naive to a Nonet, having researched on the net, I now don't feel such plum, This form must be particularly difficult, although very creative, A while i think before i'll take up the challenge, Well Done.... Hi Marius...

I'm not a fan of structured poetry.. most of them get lost in the structure of the words and come out not saying anything... but this one.. is excellent. with a chilling theme.. anyone can see.. Richard

Thank you Richard

Hi Richard! Thank you very much for your kindness - I appreciate your words. I do not know how hard is to write structured poetry; writing structured poetry I have seen that few types are a little bit hard to create but others are quite easy. Best wishes, Marius

Great piece

Nonets are difficult to herd together, and you've done it with such ease as if a shepard gathering your flock, to create a window into your psyche--and what did you see exactly in that ocean glass? it sounded almost as if you were horrified, a hint of spiritualism?--i'm still a babe in this world of poetic distillation... great piece. ~PFluffer~~

Marius

I have nothing much to add other that what has already been said. I'm floored at how some people can just pour out a structured poem like this, and have it be magical. Well done. ~Jess K. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~ "Everyone needs to believe in something.
