Weakness and Sin

I wish you could see in the mirror
With the same clarity of definition
The face I see every morning
Staring back at me.

Beyond the blue eyes
And the road-map lines
Leading back to all those points of history
I’ve passed through along the way to you,
There are other things I wish you could see.

But only, it seems
In the quiet of morning
Before the virginity of the day has been tarnished with human speech
Am I able to admit to my shame
And sins,
Only into my own eyes can I look
When I open myself
To judgment
And to truth.

And you love
Are you the same,
Is the face in the mirror that only you know
One you wish you could share with me?
Well I understand love
And we share this burden
This burden of this face
This face that no one can see.

Alobar...

we can never tell everything... and neither can she.. knowing that drives some men crazy... you seem to have found a place to be fine with it.. wise wording... Richard

Alobar

Liked this one, such insight! Had a slight problem with: "Is the face in the mirror that only you know {One you which}you could share with me otherwise I really enjoyed this~nicely written!
