Corners in Chambers Forgotten

were I found you
slouching among cobwebs
speckled with mold
a once merry marionette
now squeaky at rusty joints
only dreaming of
vaudeville stages
foot lights faded for you

why I looked for you
hidden in such chambers
a once chatty dummy
now silenced without ventriloquist
so much to say
to a vaudeville audience
crowds that fade from you

Props and gimmicks
scattered every where I look
tarnished dust choked gadgets
once implements of astonishment
now without slight hands
mystery devices
fade in televisions light

IKnowNoBox ...

Speaks of the things that when new made us happy; but fleetingly have been forgotten, Yard sales are like that; people seeling things that once made them happy but not anymore to someone else that will be happy with for awhile with it, so they can use the money to go out and buy more things that will end up in the next yard sale. Much respect my friend Frost

ebb and flow

Hi Box, A loved one, forgotten for a time and perhaps neglected amongst the busy busy of life. Beautiful imagery, perfect timing, like the ebb and flow of the ocean. Flawless. You have done your job writer, given us a story, a moving picture show for the mind. Thank you Box. Yours, Fran A civilized society is one which tolerates eccentricity to the point of doubtful sanity. Robert Frost
