Corners in Chambers Forgotten
were I found you
slouching among cobwebs
speckled with mold
a once merry marionette
now squeaky at rusty joints
only dreaming of
vaudeville stages
foot lights faded for you
why I looked for you
hidden in such chambers
a once chatty dummy
now silenced without ventriloquist
so much to say
to a vaudeville audience
crowds that fade from you
Props and gimmicks
scattered every where I look
tarnished dust choked gadgets
once implements of astonishment
now without slight hands
mystery devices
fade in televisions light
slouching among cobwebs
speckled with mold
a once merry marionette
now squeaky at rusty joints
only dreaming of
vaudeville stages
foot lights faded for you
why I looked for you
hidden in such chambers
a once chatty dummy
now silenced without ventriloquist
so much to say
to a vaudeville audience
crowds that fade from you
Props and gimmicks
scattered every where I look
tarnished dust choked gadgets
once implements of astonishment
now without slight hands
mystery devices
fade in televisions light
