Please Show Me The Howling World

Please show me the world
Take it in your hands
And separate the land from the sea
Show me the patterns of the night
In the echoes of a whale song
Let me see how the wild wind blows
In the hollow of your neck

Take my fearful shadow
Return me to the threshold of ecstasy,
Where your light began,
When I felt strong and innocent
When time stood still,
Make me fall in love again
Give me grace,
Give me grace...

Well You Know

We can't always get what we wan't but if you try sometimes you just might find that you'll get what you need That's a song that I forget who sings but it has a message Alot is only riddles to me and maybe life is not as confusing as I make most situations Who we are is what makes us unique Stay who you are cause you are who you are for a reason Peace Rolwright

The Howling World

and all its forces offered up as a gift of love.....you dont want anything small gift-wrapped then Anna? But seriously it is yet another compelling poem. I really loved: "Let me see how the wild wind blows In the hollow of your neck" If i am honest i am not so keen on "Give me grace" at the end although it obviously helps make it feel even more like a supplication/prayer. Glad you liked it Prof.

Glad you liked it Prof. That's my fav line too. And give me grace refers to Love, asking the world to grant that gift of Falling in Love. Not an easy task, Lovers are usually worlds apart. ~Anna

washed in waves

in walks I find my coal beautiful and betrayed washed ashore from long dead steam engines smooth and dark in my pocket layers of history pressed not yet become diamonds nor ever today i write and read chilled penniless for two more days forty eight hours my mind and soul hacked by music and Neopoets keys turning box doors open where sand and light intoxicatants sift the last cursed door to break the last dogs howl as Howard Carter dies (your poems anesthasize the carnival dogs..) I smile with intrepid delight!!!

who can say

who can say if straw dogs must howl? where the last train goes and how the diamond sutra shines in a child's pure heart there are no tombs here unopened kings and queens summon the Sun God, Ra bows Neopoets write swirling lines the caravan stops along a raw silk memory gifts unearthed in time the curse lifted, the spell broken, drunk with Self the albatross flies.... the last red rose opens like a door. ~Anna
