Until Then ~ How Aqua Came To Be
Until Then
You'll have to show me
the holes in your pockets
and lay your threadbare
soul at my door.
You'll have to tell me
how you light the Light
and how you plug the holes
in your heart when the darkness
leaks out.
Until then..
Don't touch me
with your lust-filled need
talk to me instead
of ivory-tusked memories,
Do not make pitiful excuses,
do not pretend The Fool,
as if you returned
from a Sojourn to an Almighty God
Even your eyes betray
your lust-filled mouth...
I will never trust you to open
the delicacy of my womb
until you shed your waiting tears
in the pure Psalms of Metta,
and you think with rays of sunlight
And if you could just do this for me,
I'll show you my window to Paradise,
I've been treading water inside
this mournful tavern of torrential feelings
and bitter ashes
I've been waiting for
You for a very very long time
And You shall be my
Beloved
We will devour
one another
flesh upon flesh
of raging fire
feasting like dragons
...sky upon sky...
How Aqua Came To Be
When the blueness comes
colours the bird on wing
the daydream quilt,
the blessed song
in the morning light....
then and only then
I shall love You
most tenderly...
where the roses grow
near
my stained-glass window,
if rain should fall,
if Spring should climb
and touch Your memory...
when
the scent of one red rose
fills the world,
stains the meadow green...
then and only then
I shall love You.
You'll have to show me
the holes in your pockets
and lay your threadbare
soul at my door.
You'll have to tell me
how you light the Light
and how you plug the holes
in your heart when the darkness
