Death Takes A Holiday

death takes a holiday
walks about town, tophat on just right, dapper
cockey, silver-tipped walking stick
diamond-studded tie clasp
three sapphires on left ear, 2.5 carat
sash-ay, blaze trail, hip hip hurray,
hey bro’, spare a dime dead glance
tomorrow bud, hey Faye gal about town
how about we dance a slow dance
I say, sure handsome fellow, love
your cologne reminds me of another
Lover about town, umm feels good,
broad shouldered, seems like a good fit
my apartment's uptown, care for a drink?
secret smile, déjà vu, catch a walk?
yes, like the sights, cats dogs garbage
sky nights breeze chants earth slams
shut ruts, pavement hot-tinned in smoked
guts, galore glorious repose suppose
ah, behind green doors, slammed closed
no preliminaries, rip off  shirt tie and pants
little black dress, black hose, bra and panties
exposed naked death
pinned against the wall, thrown across a
table, carried off to bed, oh god
this is not god, tongues and hands are not
tongues and hands, they are Shiva
penetrating with 1000 lingams and
Radha empties passion bonfire
splashing nitrous colors inside body temples
snaked up straight
fire burns fire
hot sex dancing

this is no dead poets society

A little different? If you

A little different? If you mean steaming hot and downright spooky, yep, that's a little different! Strong words and images painted in shadowy hues of death and desire. Crazy stuff, Anna. - "hot tined" - "hot tinned" - maybe? I'm speechless here - no recommendations at all! ~ Ronda

One of my favourite stories:

One of my favourite stories: Death takes a Holiday... even liked the flick with Brad as Mr. Dr. Death...and of course Dead Poets Society... I corrected hot-tinned... tank u. Which reminds me... M. Night Shyamalan's flick "The Gathering" starts Friday, I don't have a date, so I'll have to ask Mr. Dr. Death to watch it with me. lol. i'm getting slap happy. good nite red. ~A

It’s “The Happening”

It's "The Happening" you goof. I'm dying to go see it. Think I'll pass on taking Sir Death with me, though. Do you realize this is Shyamalan's first rated R movie? From what I've read, he had a little too much fun with that extra leeway. At the rate things go around here, I'll see it on dvd. Having a six-year-old in the house is not exactly conducive to a lot of horror flicks at the theater (even with older brothers to watch him). Dead Poet's Society - it's been years since I saw that. Oy. Time to put away the laptop and try to sleep here, too. Night, Anna. Sleep tight. ~ Ronda

hi moonman, of course you

hi moonman, of course you would love it.... though plenty of pundits spoke not well of Brad's portrayal... I thought it was perfect. angst, moroseness, bewilderment, a heart that would jump out of his own breast for love (hey that's a good line!), and well Hopkins... what wrong could Sir Anthony ever do? Morning red, you bright eyed and bushy-tailed? With young children, 'taint easy. Don't know how I got through all those years...... enjoy them.... too soon they are just memories. And thanks for reminding me that I'm older than dirt. Why did I write "Gathering" when I even looked up the info a la net? O o.... the mind is the first thing to go (no, the body starts it;-) I used to come home at 5:00 in the morning, now I'm waking up... oy vey! ~A

“older than dirt”???

"older than dirt"??? BAH! Age is just a number! G'morning! I am never quite bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, but I'm up. There's something! I see Richard had the pleasure of finding and identifying with your poem. Good to see someone who appreciates your writing as much as I do. I dunno why you wrote "Gathering," maybe you had to pick up something? Maybe you need to write a poem with that title? *hint hint* Maybe I'll get the 16 or 13 yr old boy-child to watch the 6 yr old boy-child and go see something besides Indiana Jones this weekend - not that Harrison Ford ain't still got it ... ;) Everyone's going to start thinking we're nuts if we keep leaving those late-night slap happy notes. Wait. Oh, forget it. The ones that matter already know that I don't suffer from my insanity - I enjoy every minute of it! :) ~ Ronda

you better believe it

you better believe it sister... if we can't enjoy our own insanity, who will? lol. evil spirits gather dance with the lepers inside my head, vultures pick away what remains clouds still form in my eyes, some might say I'll be the death of me, some might shake their heads in disgust, but I ask you: who the hell else can I trust when my pockets are empty of all change.... How's that for a gathering, Ronda?

Hey

it's freaking scary, okay, Anna? lol What's worse is the fact that I totally identify with it!
