Torture Of Death Waits

Tortured Death Waits

While waiting on death to swallow me up,
I see the sunset fading before my eyes,
The daylight turns to sudden darkness
and the skies roll away before my face.

As the mountains sink into the earth, I fell
into the riverbed, sinking deep in troubled waters
Oceans burst a global mist, rising high above the sky
then evaporating in heavenly realm.

As my journey nears its end,
Death waits

Wow - I loved this! You

Wow - I loved this! You have created some very powerful images in a very short poem. I love it. Kaz It's impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

Interesting that you see death as a cataclysmic adventure

although the cloudy mist doesn't quite fit the rest. And wouldn't it be, "daylight dims?" Arresting piece...I'm not quite sure where it leaves your own attitude about death, but it does pave the way for further efforts on this subject. Yours in peace, Synchro

Adventure hmmm

Smiles:) Barbara Hardly the case here. More like a catalystic end to life. Waiting feeling the tortures and corpution of mere existence while waiting for death. Sugestions well taken.
