Cutthroat

cutthroat you pirate and I the
swashbuckling heroine
ranting and raving mad
hysteria and I the little
pill in the bottle
lover, whore, wife, sister, daughter, mother,
it is I
you cast into the night or sliced into
meager porportions of your love,
desire
capabilities and culpabilities
jackknifed on the broader road
of nobility, a Knights game
pawns on a chessboard,
black and white pieces
of humpty dumpty
fallen
who will never rise again
the same sentiment as the way
of I sitting in a chair,
a wallflower
who receded unseen into
the background

Check This Out

For real for real I'm me and I know you cool and all that.I'll go far enough to say I care about you as a friend. From what I know you must be maybe in your mid five foot range long hair and beautifully brown eyed.Yet I know long distances never work for me and I'm not saying your not worth the effort.I'm just saying there's alot I need to get straight before I do anything like trying to meet someone in a place I've never been.Cause on the real what's the problem with meeting you once.I'm not worthy so if you are fall out of it, Love that is, Cause the reason I've been keeping my distance is because I no longer take love serious.Nothing that had to do with you it's my ex and she just got me to the point where I'd rather be a bachlor for a long time.As for you well I like you alot but if you could love a person for there words then I do. It's just too much at one time and I'ma take a break from writing for a while but I'ma still check on your work from time to time.I just put in my resignation this morning, yeah I know it's kind of corny but so what. Until then check out these songs 1.Jay Z I Know 2.112 Cupid 3.Kanye West Homecoming 4.Saul Williams List of Demands 5.R Kelly You made me love you A couple of those I picked just for you can you figure to which I'm refering Peace, Your Buddy Rolwright

I forgot something

I liked your poem alot if I was a pirate I'd be Jack Sparrow but he didn't get the girl in the end did he.Hey Hey Hey I'm a good guy with a bad rap, but I'm still a hero.Your style is so vivid it has that Pirates of the Carribean feel, you know what I'm saying.I also liked the chess reference it was like you were trying to catch someone's attention I wonder who.Chess was the first game I learned to play growing up as a child. The first thing I felt I was ever good at and in learning I felt I could impress my pops more then his liquor impressed him so he wouldn't have to drink so much and have vietnam flashbacks and try to hurt everyone in the house.I'm sorry a little to much information huh well I'm sorry it's just for some reason I feel comfortable telling you anything A.I'ma leave but make sure you check out those songs. Peace

Last Thing I promise this time

What if I'm subconsiuosly pissing you off cause you know for most poets they write there best work when either pissed off or over indulged in love.I can't consider this food but maybe just a snack for thought. Now I say Good Day, I said Good Day From Rolwright It'll all be O.K.

The array of imagery was almost bewildering

piracy, chess, nursery rhymes but you pulled it all together in the bewildering array of the ways society (men?) mythologises, symbolises, objectifies and generally tries to control women. Have you read "Damned Whores and Gods Police, The Colonization of Women in Australia" by Anne Summers? You probably don't need to. As I didn't need to read Dawkin's "The God Delusion". I adore the intelligence, passion and quality of your poetry. what was all that stuff from rolwright? Are you being stalked? cheers, Jess

Anna

in her elemental free flow again. lol. I suspect though that only true spiritual pirates can apply to win the heart of the heroine. Great poem. Keith
