The Electrical Storm

The sound and furyTears through meThe flashThe crashThe tetany Each new soundFills me with painEach new boomDrives me insane My muscles spasmFrom toe to hipEach new soundStrikes like a whip This electrical stormMakes me wish I were deadBut, it's nothing comparedTo the storm in my head When will it stop? When will it cease?I lie and waitAnd pray for peace

Michael

I know this,

perhaps not in the same way as you, but I know the feelings and the physiology. tetany is an excellent word here. A powerful, concise and beautifully written poem. cheers, Jess
