An Urgency That Was More Exciting Than A Bathroom Break

Jumping up, I grabbed the flashlight from its perch.

Racing to the door, I almost fell over my doggie friend, Sammy Dear.

An internal urgency caused me to react with amazing speed and agility.

Clarifying radar waves pulsated from the outside paddock.

Ide was calling to me.

I tripped out of the door and shone the light

And there I beheld an amazing sight.

Ide Run, my beautiful Thoroughbred mare,

Bought for a mere pittance,

Considering she won money on the track-

Before they ran her into the ground,

Only caring about the bottom line- MONEY-

Was standing over the most beautiful dark,

Salt and Pepper Filly that ever graced the face of the earth.

I totally suck at the horse business.

I find it hard to sell them.

They are living, breathing, magnificent creatures of the most noble type.

We're going to race the wind together.

I think I'll keep this one.

My husband just shakes his head.

Life is good.
