Her

 Serpent coil round the neck
Strategically positioned to eliminate the threat
To the self-righteous egotistical wreck
God forbid she let vulnerability set

Deceives with artificial gifts of peace
Even the olive branch she manages to cheapen to nothing
Heart once drenched with hatred, expires the lease
The loyalty decays, love merely a game of bluffing

Insecurities become apparent as her prey becomes competition
No longer in control, just desperate to maintain
A reference of weakness, its new definition
Looses composure, can no longer contain

Betrayal, her curse and gift, she relays
Faintly she slithers: et tu, brute?

Stavroula...

Not a bad start but I had a hard time keeping it together, feels disconjointed; perhaps because some of the rhymes are forced. While its great to see the effort when someone tries to rhyme is this peticular case I think it hurts the poem more than it helps. Frost
