Fondly Forgotten Fantastic Fantasy

Dare I take a notion
my claimed friend
a ghost to others

those disassociated
trips to La La
I knew there was
no body there

who didn't know?
if I convinced myself
would you be more
believable then I ?

as we mature
leaving those very
notional associates
behind us
we pick up on
such harsh realities

just as easy
as you please
to slip out in a spell
into imagined scenarios

Beautifull

I like the flow of your words and the "heart" in this poem more so than any of the others i have read ,of yours, on this site. This poem expresses a different part of you I feel.

I think many children do come up with their imaginary friends to help cope with the reality of situations that they don't understand. I totally agree with the opinion that it's so much easier to slip into oblivion - but at the same time, it doesn't make our problems go away.
