"thank you for your perceptions"

You swing in quick enough,
with white-out bottles and dirty elbows
in the places you couldn't
plant the words.

I don't have your
 tree lined streets ready,
or the way that points to Easy.

And no one here
sells lemonade.

Brightly retortful ...

and nicely done. Cogent, briefly sarcastic. Lean. Spare with words. The point's made---and made well. "You swing in quick enough ... in the places you couldn’t plant the words." As if to say, "So there! Take that! Hah!" Thanx again, Appreciative Chuck PS: Speaking, I think, of critics ... and as to their motivations: "They have a right to censure, that have a heart to help: the rest is cruelty, not justice." ---William Penn
