Lunar Mania

I  remember the sea
In the full moon
All foamy and frothy and free
I remember her face
In the full moon
Wreathed in a heavenly glow
I remember life
In the full moon
Un-harnessed and rearing to go
I remember the kids
In the full moon
They frolicked and danced and sang
I remember the wind
In the full moon
Invigorating, wild and cool
I remember my friends
In the full moon
Generous, kind and magnanimous
I remember the mountains
In the full moon
Serene, strong and stately
I remember the cats
In the full moon
They were part of the tapestry
I remember the trees
In the full moon
They swayed to a rhythmic chant
I remember the earth
In the full moon
A veritable paradise

I love the nights...

when the full moon dances motionlessly in the sky, and a gentle breeze rustles through the trees. It makes one feel so alive. I liked your poem. wolfycat.

Hi Leonard...

I think your poem is very good..except for the repetition of, in the full moon. Now this is only my opinion but.. I think you could keep the first one and the last one and take the rest out completely.. just my opinion.. disregard it if you choose. welcome to the site.. it is also my opinion that you had some great lines in the piece... Leonard

May I suggest that in your third line , you drop the first and ,replacing it with a comma. I have to agree with Richard here not only in the full moon But also I remember It detracts from the true beauty of the poem perhaps alternate phrases such as Under a full moon In the full moons light and the I remembers with the memory of images of recalling the I do like the concept of this poem My suggestions are merely suggestions for your consideration Chrys
